EMC Operations Group has partnered with experienced industry partners for the development of the ESI series of effectors: a modular effector with variants for CUAS operations and ground strike from UAS.
Launch occurs from an electromangetically driven rail allowing incredibly low signature launch that maximally protects from counter-battery fire.
Each ESI unit has tiny cost compared to air to air/ground strike munitions usually used for interception or strike operations, making it highly price competitive and scalable.
ESI utilises active flow control surfaces rather than conventional fins for an actuation system. Therefore, drag is minimised, and manoeuvrability is superior to all other munitions in class.
ESI contains no propellant (due to the EM launch mechanism,) and the CUAS variant doesn't utilise explosive (PBX) or any sort of kinetic warhead, making it far simpler to transport.
From mobile land-based launch vehicle: 9 round magazine, 18 round total.
From XPLORER UAS: 10 launch racks.
Strike and CUAS ESI effector interchangeable in magazine.
ESI CUAS employs no explosive, no shrapnel, and has an arrestor parachute for the body, making it safe for air intercepts equivalent within a normally hazardous interception zone.
Low mass, low cost, superior manoeuvre gel-adhesive obstructive munition with Baryonyx STW-50 CUAS warhead (appropriate for interception of Class 1-2 UAS.)
Low mass, low cost, superior manoeuvre munition with modular blast fragmentation or shaped charge warhead.
