The Baryonyx anti-drone agent is a stable additive for targetable anti-drone firing systems that can achieve unparalleled area disabling without the need for EW solutions when defeating saturation threats.
FOR CIWS- BAD-18 GOS
Explanation:
Baryonyx- BAD-18 GOS is a a shell/missile/anti-air round additive that can permit far superior effect. The use of an incredibly viscous partially-aerosolised expansive liquid agent (non-harmful) via airburst allows for dispersal over a large area. The aim of the system is the disabling of UAS swarms and saturation threats. Generally speaking, electronic warfare methods and anti-air rounds are the most potent method for the destruction of drone swarms.
EMC Operations believes that there may be another beneficial component. Electronic warfare can't always be trusted to work given technological contest in a military context, similarly, anti-air rounds and systems are generally designed for the destruction of a low volume of aircraft (not for ever more potent saturation attack.) As such, there is requirement for something that can achieve the same area coverage of EW, while maintaining the kinetic and mechanical infallibility that is associate with the use of physical anti-air systems (missiles and CIWS.) Simply: EW can't always be relied upon to work, AA missiles have an enormous associated cost, and CIWS rounds aren't ideal for large swarms where total swarm disabling is paramount.
Baryonyx liquid can be added via a modular kit to already existing munitions (30mm, 84mm, 105mm and potential integration for missile systems via tailored solutions,) giving the warfighter superior anti-swarming solutions.
Function:
Baryonyx as a solvent uses a combination of stable expansive substances and adhesive materials. This allows for atomisation (aerosolisation) of an incredibly viscous and adhesive liquid) over a large area via initial round activation (generally, detonation.) Initial positive kinetic effects from high cumulative impact of aerosolised particles allows for a beneficial additive to the kinetic effect that is achieved on swarms through conventional tungsten carbide pre-fragmented subprojectiles (or continuous rod warheads.)
Mainly though, the adhesion of the particles which are expansive and hardening to a number of UAS within the swarm (if not all) permits rapid disabling. Beyond diminished proper flight conditions, Baryonx has effect through expansion, hardening, and general viscosity of the material. This promotes mechanical jamming of rotors in addition to disruption via interference with visual sensors. Mixed ferromagnetic substances within the solvent also lead to disruption of onboard sensors (INS, GNSS and flight computers) which further the chance of disabling. All of these additional effects combined with existing AA effects promote a superior anti-air round more suited to large swarm coverage that isn't technologically fallible.
Shell based deployment means that Baryonyx costs less to the warfigher than other systems such as deep strike, counter-swarms and anti-air missiles.
The additional feature that we can bring to your AA system facilitates a higher bid win rate for your firm.
BAD-18 still allows for normal kinetic function of CIWS munitions, thus only increasing effect without detracting from conventional effects (and without any required changes to launch systems other than slight software changes.)
Utilising a wide area dispersal mechanism, we aim to defeat even the largest of drone swarms, with drones from most classes class (1-4.) No other system can knock an entire swarm out of action at once; EMC Operations is working towards it.
